Play Call of Duty Warzone for Free

Call of Duty Warzone is now available and it is for free!

What’s great is that you won’t need Call of Duty Modern Warfare in order to play the game. However, if you do have Modern Warfare, you will be able to access the game via the Main Menu and where the Classified panel had been. Having the most recent updates for Modern Warfare would just let you download Warzone for just 18-22 GB.

Not having Modern Warfare won’t be a problem if you would want to play Warzone. The game is available through first-party stores. You would just have to download it. This will be about 83-100 GB worth of download though and could take several hours to complete.

Warzone offers a new massive combat experience that comes with two game modes. The first one is Battle Royale and the other is Plunder. Both will have a total of 150 players. In Battle Royale, the last squad standing will win as a deadly gas closes in. In the Plunder mode, players will have to loot, steal and finish contracts in order to get the most in-match cash.

Both modes can be played in trios and can also be played across different platforms like PC (Battle.net), PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

Warzone is set in Verdansk which comes with multiple zones with about 300 points of interest. Every zone will have its own landmarks and environments.

There are also different vehicles to be used in the game. And they are the ATV, Tactical Rover, SUV, Cargo Truck, and Helicopter. Each one will have different attributes. The vehicles will also have a health meter which when depleted, the vehicles will explode.

Unique mechanics are also available in the game. One of which is the Gulag which is available in the Battle Royale mode. Here, players are taken as a “prisoner of Warzone” and would have to go through a 1on1 battles that will grant you permission to go back to the Verdansk.

The other mechanic is called Contracts. Complete this mechanic and it will reward you with in-match cash. You can use this to redeploy your squadmate who has been taken as a prisoner of Warzone. Contracts come in different kinds, some even offer special rewards.

Call of Duty Warzone is out now for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
