Since the closed beta, Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds is swiftly becoming popular to gamers.

The maker of Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds is Brendan Green, he actually is the brains behind the genre of battle royale, from Arma 2 and Arma 3 and H1Z1’s King of the Kill. Green had an interview with PC Gamer, in that he said, “I kind of think of it as you know, I helped kickstart the genre, especially with [H1Z1].” He even adds that, “Now I get a chance to kind of make my version. Not to define the genre, but kind of to go, well listen, this is what I always envisioned battle royale to be, and this is my version of the game basically.”

In comparison, Green thinks that Arma 3’s battle royale is “too complicated” as well as that “everything is simulated.” On the other hand King of the Kill is a “simplified” version.

Green sees Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds as in the middle of both and has a more “arcadey” feel.

Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds is available as an Early Access on Steam (PC) on March 23, 2017.
