PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds

Brendan Greene or PlayerUnknown announced that PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds launch date is pushed back. The game remains as an Early Access on Steam.

As seen in a post on Steam, Greene went on saying that if he restricts the development of the game to a specific month, it may not be a perfect game when launched or if the launch date is missed it will lead to disappointment from the community. Greene previously stated that he wanted the game out of the Early Access in six months.

But with the explanation given above, the game will not be releasing in six months after its early access. It was announced however that the release date was moved to Q4 of 2017.

“We will continue to push weekly and monthly updates until full launch as we want to ensure that the game we release is the best version possible. This is why we’re giving a launch window rather than an exact date. We hope this makes sense, and appreciate your understanding.” said Greene.
