Sony celebrates the best-selling month for the PS5.

PS5 BEST MONTH OF SALES

 

Sony Interactive Entertainment president Jim Ryan announced during the CES showcase that the best-selling month for the PS5 was in December.

Ryan revealed that there had been more than 30 million PS5 units sold since it launched back in November 2020.

As Sony catches up with the supply bottlenecks, the figures for December show a drastic increase.

The target of Sony for the fiscal year of 2022/2023 is 18 million copies. The fiscal year ends on March 31st and so far only 10.7 million units have been shipped.

It seems that the supply bottlenecks are over, so Ryan believes that the remaining 7.3 million units will be shipped by April.

If you are one of those who are still trying to get a hold of your own PS5, Sony said that they are planning to ship 23 million units in the fiscal year of 2023/2024. This will start in April.
