The survival, horror game Resident Evil 3 is set to launch very soon and it will be bringing back the unbreakable knife.

Actually, the unbreakable knife is not something new to the Resident Evil franchise. You may be familiar with knife-only-runs which are popular with Let’s Players as well as those looking for a challenge in the game.
What happened with the Resident Evil 2 Remake was that the knives were made breakable and it was taking up space in the inventory. This didn’t make knife-runs fun for the game.
What happened with the Resident Evil 2 Remake was that the developers intended for the knife to be a means of defense. It would prevent zombies from biting you but it lacks any capabilities of offense. This made knife-only-runs impossible to do.
However, with Resident Evil 3, the unbreakable knife is making a comeback! This has been confirmed by Peter Fabiano the game’s producer. He told Game Informer that, “We’re dealing with survival horror and everything is exhaustible. You run out of bullets. You run out of herbs. You run out of everything, what would you have? The knife. The director always wanted to make it so that you at least have your trusty knife. That’s always something you can rely on.”
It has also been revealed by Capcom that the knife only runs had been tested by the members of the development team.
Also, the game’s demo launched last week and it has gained critical acclaim for its gameplay as well as graphics.
Resident Evil 3 is set to launch on April 3, 2020, for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. This will come the online multiplayer game called Resident Evil Resistance.
