The much-awaited horror survival game Resident Evil 7 Biohazard has confirmed their Play Anywhere option. Gamers already had an idea about this when announcements about the game’s cross-saves were published. A recent tweet from the head of Xbox confirms this by saying “Resident Evil 7 biohazard confirmed @ Xbox Play Anywhere – buy once, play on both Xbox One & Windows 10 PC”.

The Xbox Play Anywhere function will allow the players to purchase the game once and be able to play it both on Windows 10 PC and Xbox One and vice versa. Everything will be shared in the game from saves, achievements, in-game unlockables as well as future DLC’s. These will be available on both platforms.

Note: Only Resident Evil 7 Biohazard purchased through the Windows and Xbox stores can opt for the Play Anywhere program.

Resident Evil 7 Biohazard is also available on PlayStation 4 but does not support the Play Anywhere option. Instead, PlayStation VR is available for the game and they were the ones who had very early access to the game’s demo, several months before it was launched for PC and Xbox One.

Also, an interesting thing to know is that Resident Evil 7 is the first ever game that is a part of the Play Anywhere program that was not published by Microsoft.

Resident Evil 7 Biohazard will launch this coming January 24th for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
