Resident Evil recently turned 25 years old and Capcom is celebrating this by releasing Resident Evil 7 on the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Digital Foundry shared a comparison of features for the PS5 and the Xbox Series X|S.

The game is stunning for both the PS5 and Xbox Series X consoles played in 4K. It is able to run on a steady 60 FPS on 4K with ray tracing. The Xbox Series S however have frame rate dips but it won’t reach below 45 FPS.

There is an option for 120 FPS but the steady frame rate that the game can do with ray tracing is 4K.

Being able to play the game on the next-gen consoles mean that the game will get faster load times, 3D audio and DualSense support on the PS5.

If you also have a monitor that has a variable refresh rate (VRR) then it will give you something extra in the game.

VRR is able to adjust the refresh rate of monitors so that it would match the frame rate of games. This results in no dropped frames for a smoother experience.
