Rockstar Concentrates on GTA 6 Stops Work on Red Dead Online

Rockstar Games has announced that they will not be making any more major updates to Red Dead Online and would now be focusing their attention on GTA 6.

Rockstar Games recently confirmed that they will be solely working on GTA 6 and will no longer be making any new major content for Red Dead Online.

In Rockstar Games’ blog post on their official site, they posted that they “plan to build upon existing modes and add new Telegram Missions this year, rather than delivering major themed content updates like in previous years.”

Tez2 also previously revealed that Rockstar decided not to launch remasters of GTA IV and Red Dead Redemption because of GTA Trilogy – Definitive Edition’s “poor reception”.

Rockstar said in their announcement that they are planning to move “more development resources towards the next entry in the Grand Theft Auto series.”

The company would need all hands on deck for GTA 6 as they aim to surpass “players’ expectations” and create the best version of GTA 6 possible.

Those who are still on GTA Online will still be getting some updates, the new one coming improves the Criminal Careers as well as cater to the improvements that the community requested.
