Skull and Bones Pirate Game Doesn’t Focus On Story

Ryan Barnard, the game director of Skull and Bones clarifies that their upcoming pirate game won’t be all about the game’s story.

Skull and Bones is an open-world action-adventure game that is all about naval warfare and pirates.

According to director Ryan Barnard in a recent interview with True Achievements, the game does come with story elements however it is “not [a] narrative-driven game”

Barnard adds that the game’s world is overflowing with lore. The stories are found in the contracts that you take and finish. This means that you are basically creating your own story.

The game comes with an Infamy progression system that will lead you through the game instead of the game’s story.

Skull and Bones is set to launch on November 8 and is available for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
