Sony Plans to Launch 50% of Games on PC & Mobile by 2025

Sony shared their future plans and it seems as if they are moving away from the PlayStation 4 as they are planning to have 50% of their games available on PC and mobile by 2025.

During Sony’s latest presentation it had been revealed that 50% of their video games will be for PC and mobile by the year 2025.

Jim Ryan, the president of Sony Interactive Entertainment said that this is their chance to be “pretty much everywhere” in terms of gaming.

PC and mobile gaming have the potential for “significant growth in the number of people who play our games,” said Ryan.

This came about when games like Horizon Zero Dawn and God of War which were PlayStation exclusive games launched for the PC and triple their sales bringing in $300 million to the company.

Nicola Sebastiani, who previously worked as the Apple Arcade content boss has been hired by Sony to run its mobile division.

Also, Sony has launched a PC label as well as acquired PC port developer so that they are able to bring out more first-party PC games.

With all of these plans, it seems like there won’t be any more first-party games available for the PlayStation 4 after 2025.
