Star Wars Battlefront 2 Microtransactions Not Available Right Now
The Star Wars Battlefront 2 microtransactions have been disabled by EA DICE for now. This has been announced in one of their blog posts. This was due to the fact that fans were outraged about the game’s in-game purchases which they voiced out. It even led to a Reddit AMA by the developers which did not go well.
And as of the moment, these microtransactions has temporarily been disabled. EA and DICE currently announced that the in-game purchases are temporarily turned off without any specific date of when it will be back up again. What this means is that for right now in order to progress in the game it will depend solely on gameplay only.

The blog post said that, “It’s clear that many of you feel there are still challenges in the design. We’ve heard that concerns the concerns about potentially giving players unfair advantages. And we’ve heard that this is overshadowing an otherwise great game. This was never our intention. Sorry we didn’t get this right.”
They further added that the developers will be taking the time to focus on “listening, adjusting, balancing and tuning.”
“The ability to purchase crystals in-game will become available at a later date, only after we’ve made changes to the game. We’ll share more details as we work through this.”
Thank you for that EA DICE!
