Star Wars: Squadrons The New FPS Space Action Adventure Game
Electronic Arts’next huge Star Wars title is called Star Wars: Squadrons and we have for you everything that you need to know about the game.
Offering a rich compelling story that is set in Endor’s aftermath as well as the destruction of the second Death Star. Players get to pilot the Vanguard Squadron of the New Republic and the Titan Squadron from the Empire.
The game focuses heavily on its multiplayer. Developer’s Motive Studios listened to the request of fans for the Squadron mode which is like a 5v5 team deathmatch and the Fleet Battle that comes with large-scale objective-based battles that has multiple stages like bombing runs.
Get to fly eight of the iconic ships! The New Republic gets the X-wing, A-wing, and Y-wing. The Empire gets the TIE Interceptor, TIE Bomber, TIE Fighter, and the new U-wing and TIE Reaper that was first seen in the Star Wars: Rogue One film.
Enjoy fast-paced first-person multiplayer dogfights located in the iconic locations like the Yavin Prime, Esseles, Nadiri Dockyards, Galitan, Sissubo and Zavian Abyss.
Star Wars: Squadrons will also be available for VR with a PlayStation 4 or a VR headset for PC. The virtual reality will surely immerse players in the adrenalin-fueled story of Star Wars.
How Much is Star Wars: Squadrons?
For a AAA game, Star War: Squadrons cost is lower compared to games of the same caliber especially since the game will not have any microtransactions.
Star Wars: Squadrons will be available at $40. EA explained that they developed the game with the consumers in mind and it lacks the same scale of the other games that EA offers.
Will there be customization features?
We now have a better idea of what the game’s customization options are since it will be launching soon.
Pilot customization is one of them and it will come with different heads, outfits, many colors to choose from, gloves, voices, legwear, apparel and more.
Your Starfighter can also be customized like its dashboard figures, hull paint job, decals, hanging flair and cockpit hologram.
Just like the many first-person games, this will also come with kill cams where you get to see the kills of others and they are able to see yours too! An option to turn off the custom designs is also available.
Offering a New Standard for Star Wars Games
Previous Star Wars games concentrated on the rebels since everyone does like to see the good guys win. But with 2003’s Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, players were able to tap into their dark side.
Up until the Battlefront games, Battlefront 2 had players playing as the Imperial forces, where the players get to see the Empire’s point of view and get to play as heroes of the Darkside.
EA finally understands what players want with the addition of the customization options as well as being able to choose to play as either the New Republic or the Galactic Empire. The support for joysticks and HOTAS is also a sign of change for the franchise.
