Your civilization is not alone in the universe! The galaxy is full of wonders and dangers whether you are ready or not to meet them. Stellaris First Contact Story Pack is a DLC for Stellaris that brings brand new content like new origins and mechanics that gives players the ability to tell stories about their civilization’s early encounters with other beings from the stars.

• New Origins:
  • Broken Shackles – Your civilization never had the chance to take you to the stars, instead, you were taken from your home and forced to serve as slaves, but you and your fellow prisoners have banded together and overtaken your captor’s ship now you must survive together and form a new diverse community will you be able to rise to greatness from your humble origins.
  • Payback – No one believed you when you noticed that you were being keenly watched by an intelligence greater than your own until your world has been invaded. But against all odds, your civilization repelled them now with sudden access to their advanced technology you dare journey what else is beyond the stars.
  • Fear of the Dark – After your civilization has developed the technology to explore your own solar system you suspected that you weren’t alone in the galaxy. Especially since one of the planets inexplicably suffered a bizarre accident, a very large faction of your people has long suggested isolating yourselves and not poking at the dark abyss, but what choices will you make when you inevitably find yourselves needing more room to grow?
• It is not just origins, however, every civilization entering the galactic community has a new way to tell its story. New mechanics allow for a broader range of interactions with pre-FTL civilizations, depending on their awareness of your presence. Is your arrival going to be met by violence or celebration?
• You may now equip your ships with cloaking technologies so you can survey in secrecy, catch opponents unaware, or keep an eye on PRE FTL neighbors with cloaked observation posts. Just be sure to strengthen your empire’s intel too since you never know which of your neighbors might be lurking.
