Straight Tracks Available in DiRT 4 Your Stage
DiRT 4 Your Stage has a new feature added to the game’s Career Mode and that is straight tracks. What is Your Stage, you ask? It is a feature similar to other racing games that let the players customize race tracks in DiRT 4.

For those who have been playing race games, they know how racetrack customization works. Usually, the racetracks that are available are curved.
Lead Technical Designer, Jason Evans says, “In the past, this has been avoided to a certain extent, because in order to try and maximise the amount of gameplay within the very tight track budget it was always deemed as a lesser feature. Your Stage now allows us the ability to show just what a feature section of straights can be – and not only can we add a few more straights into tracks, but we have control over how many and how long these sections can be.”
Players are able to manipulate the overall track length, but there is a catch.
“We can now have some sections of straights at different lengths, some around 1km long, and these often prove to be truly fearless sections of track. Their straightness encourages the player to go flat out, but the changes in the track surface, undulation, objects, and trees keep the player alert – as the consequences of going wrong when flat out could easily end your rally, “ added Evan.
Actually, DiRT 4 Your Stage does not come with pre-defined race tracks upon the launch of the game. What this means is that the career mode in the game only includes the tracks that are generated in the system.
DiRT 4 launches on June 9, 2017 available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
