
Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris Release Delayed!

The Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris release date has been delayed as confirmed by Bandai Namco. The game will now be releasing on July rather than the original release date of May 22, 2020.
The delay had been posted on Twitter which said, ”In order to ensure the best possible launch conditions for #SwordArtOnline Alicization Lycoris, we would like to share an update regarding the game’s release date”. Also, an image accompanied the post which you will be able to see below:

The new launch date for the game is July 10, 2020. The reason stated is the “ongoing world events” which we all know and is affected by – the novel coronavirus. Bandai Namco also believes that, ‘this is the best way to ensure that Sword Art Online fans are delivered the best Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris experience.”
Alicization Lycoris adapts an actual storyline from the anime. This is the very first time that it happened in the Sword Art Online series. In the game, Kirito will find himself in the Underworld and meets Eugeo and made it a point to work together. Kirito will be clashing against the Integrity Knights of the Central Cathedral so that he is able to complete his mission.
