Teaser: New PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Desert Map

A new PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds desert map was introduced by Brendan Greene AKA PlayerUnknown. The teaser was found on Twitter where he posted a couple of screenshots.

The PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds desert map features a mixed urban environment. There are abandoned buildings as well as a desert. This location most likely is situated in Peru and is only about 4×4 kilometers. The location once boasted a beautiful location to visit, however, it was destroyed by war and sandstorms and most parts are already buried in sand.

The map has a canyon on the southern and eastern part and a river runs through it. This river is very helpful because it provides water to the small villages that stayed when the once beautiful desert city destroyed. The hillside slums are situated in the northern part of the map.

Right now, they are still working on the map and it doesn’t have a release date as of yet.

The devs of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds are looking into the possibility of having cross play between the two Microsoft platforms – PC and Xbox One.
