The people behind Waylanders are Mike Laidlaw – creative director, Emily Grace Buck – writer formerly from Telltale and Gato Studio, a Spanish developer.

The game is a party-based RPG that comes with medieval worlds, time travel, historical legend and Celtic myth.

The video shared by the developers is a 20-minute gameplay where we see that the game is heavily inspired by Dragon Age: Origins, Neverwinter Nights, Baldur’s Gate, Pillars of Eternity, and Divinity: Original Sin.

How you interact with the game world will determine the quests that you will receive, the enemies that you will encounter as well as the relationships that you will create.
