The games that we selected are based on different action and adventure games that closely resemble Mirror’s Edge Catalyst.
Mirror’s Edge Catalyst is an action-adventure, platform and parkour game. Based on all these 4 genres that make up the game, we will be looking for games that are similar.
Like most action-adventure games you will have to explore and fight as well as live the lives of the chamber and their history.
Different games such as Dying Light, Assassin’s Creed, or Rise of the Tomb Raider allow the players to run, climb, slide, jump as well as do fluid-like parkour movements.
Other games add special movements to their characters thanks to exceptional powers or advanced technologies. An example is Emilie’s power of movement in Dishonored 2 gives her superhuman speed or the temporal power of Jack Joyce in Quantum Break which allows him to move through the world that is temporarily frozen in time.
We can also add games like Just 3 which defies the laws of gravity and combines foolishness that is absolutely hilarious. Other characters do not have special skills but rather has different qualities that would help in the progression of the game. An example of this Agent 47 in Hitman.Unlike Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, some games are not based specifically on movement skills. But all the games listed include action as well as an immune story line that takes you into their very own universe.
