World of Warcraft is a MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing) video game. It is the fourth installment that unfolds in the fantastic medieval universe of Warcraft. The game was officially released in America on November 23, 2004. World of Warcraft Legion is the sixth expansion and was released on August 30, 2016.
Players create their characters by first choosing from 13 available races divided into two factions: The Alliance and the Horde.
In addition to choosing race and appearance, you will also have to choose for each character their class: Warrior, Mage, Rogue, Priest, Hunter, Druid, Warlock, Paladin, Shaman, Death Knight, Monk or Hunter. Demons.
A developed craft system is available and it allows the promotion of craft and economy between players. You will have to choose between 2 main trades among the 11 that are available. But that’s not all! There are also four secondary trades.
At present, regarding raids or organized group content: it is for up to 10, 20, 25 or even 40 players. There is also content for single groups of up to 5 players, otherwise known as dungeons. This is the Players vs Environment (PvE) content, as opposed to the Players vs. Players (PvP) content, both of which are the core of the two game modes in an MMO.
Concerning PvP content, there will be a competitive 2v2 and 3v3 arena mode as well as Battlefields with several modes and formats, from Warsong Gullet to 10 to10, a popular mode is capture the flag, until Alterac where there are more than 80 players that will confront and defeat the enemy leader, you will have the choice between several cards and different modes.
The games that we selected are based on the different games that closely resemble WoW Legion
World of Warcraft has always been the undisputed master of other MMO’s in terms of active population, not counting the monthly paid subscription to Blizzard, a luxury that many F2P gamers would like to be able to afford. This is why for more than 10 years WoW exists, dozens of competitors joined and tried their luck against the mastodon but only little remain but WoW still keeps its millions of subscribers.
Legion was able to silence the critics who said that the game will not last. But with more than 10 years to its credit, WoW can still continue, especially at the end of extension, waiting for the next, this is why we are proposing other viable alternatives to World Warcraft Legion.
If what interests you in WoW is more of the game side of Pure Role, and more of history-oriented, you should look at games with a solitary campaign and a more developed plot like Divinity Original Sin or Pillars of Eternity that are also derived from the legacy of Baldur’s Gate and other classic RPGs. Those if are mainly offline games.
On the contrary if it is more the MMO side that interests you, or the social side, playing with people, I can recommend Guild Wars 2 for its massive PvP (World against World) but also PvP Organized Battles). Its PvE is also not bad with many raids and dungeons.
Finally if you are looking for a similar game to World Of Warcraft I suggest Wildstar if you are looking for very similar mechanics to World of Warcraft but in a much more fun and entertaining universe, with a graphic style as zany and more focused on cartoons. If you prefer a more refined and futuristic, more Japanese artistic side you can also find the excellent MMORPG, which is more based on the PvE aspect, Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn.
