Resident Evil 7 Biohazard tops US January 2017 Sales!

The top-selling game for January 2017 in the US is Resident Evil 7 Biohazard, according to the NPD Group. This is s monumental moment for the game since it was released later in the month.

Second place goes to Call of Duty Infinite Warfare, down one spot since it was the top selling (in terms of dollars) for December 2016 in the whole US.

GTA 5 is still very strong at third place. At the fourth place is EA DICE’s World War II shooter Battlefield 1. The fifth place belongs to NBA 2K17.

Another game released this January that came in on the sixth spot is Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue. The seventh and eighth spots were taken by Madden NFL 17 and Watch Dogs 2 respectively. Overwatch takes the ninth spot however the figures does not include the Battle.Net sales. On the 10th spot is FIFA 17.

The games on the list are based on the combined physical and digital sales from “select publishers” in the US. However, it doesn’t include the sales from Nintendo and Battle.Net.

Resident Evil 7 is available to play for PC via Steam, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
