Valheim Server Offers Hardcore Mod

Valheim comes with a new mod and amps up the difficulty level of the game. In this hardcore mod, players would have to start over again when their character dies.

The Valheim Hardcore Server mod is made by modder icecube333 and uploaded it on Nexusmods last month. This is actually perfect for real hardcore gamers.

The mod is called the “Hardcore Server” because once your character dies, you won’t be able to use it again and will have to start over.

What’s great about this mod is that players don’t need to install it since it is available on a server. The only problem with it is that it is not perfect, so if you have knowledge in scripting, then you are good.

Valheim Celebrates First Year with Frost Caves

Last month, Valheim celebrated its first year so Iron Gate hosted a Fireside Chat on Youtube where we get to see Richard, the CEO/lead designer; Robin the artist; and Josefin the community manager talked about the game’s past, present and future.

Another thing to celebrate the game’s anniversary is the launch of the Frost Caves update which brings a new event, new location and creature. This also comes with full controller support, additional optimization settings plus the option to pause the game in single-player.

A roadmap was previously released for the game, and we are able to see the “Cult of the Wolf” update there. But that whole roadmap was canceled, and according to Iron Gate, “these frost caves are essentially that update” but just in a different name.
