Assassin’s Creed Origins

A new Assassin’s Creed Origins video was shared by Ubisoft. The video features one of the game’s sidequests and is about 18 minutes long.

Origins is the prequel to the previous Assassin’s Creed stories. And just like the previous Assassin’s Creed games, this also offers an open world that players can freely explore and complete its given missions.

A voiceover of the developer supports the video to give more insight into the game’s features. As mentioned earlier, the gameplay shows the side quest of the game. It starts out with Cortesos a geographer and your character Bayek gets hit on the head and blocks out. When you wake up, some of your stuff got stolen as well as the notes of the geographer. You then investigate and find out who did this and try to get your items back.

Some features in the game that are quite notable are the focus on the environment for combat and the removal of the counter focused attack. Also, some failed attempts will have future opportunities further in the game. Since the game is alive, weather disturbances like sandstorms are randomly generated.

The character that you will play is Bayek, a Medjay and is one of the very first Assassins in Ptolemaic Egypt.

Assassin’s Creed Origins will launch for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox One on October 27, 2017.
