Windows 10 Update Fixes

Microsoft released a Windows 10 update last April which is geared towards performance improvements. However, the update brought frame drops and stuttering to gamers.

Microsoft did hear out the issue and made a patch to fix it. The patch will fix any of the Game Mode issues and is set to arrive on July 27.

The fix done is comforting since Windows 11 is already being introduced. The newest Windows will get DirectStorage which is a feature that will use the power of the GPU and SSDs.

GPUs when used as a direct storage can decompress game data from the SSD. This is faster as compared to the CPU doing it.

If you are having gaming-related issues and using Windows 10 as an OS, we do recommend that you use the Ultra Performance setting in the Power Options.

First, go to the Control Panel, then to Power, then choose Ultimate Performance.

Also, make sure that the game mode is activated.

This suggestion isn’t a fix for the problem at hand, but it will help a little.

Updating your operating system to the latest version is always recommended.
