Witcher 3 Blood and Wine new details in CD Projekt Red Dev Diary.

Witcher 3 Wild Hunt’s newest expansion pack called Witcher 3 Blood and Wine is the second expansion for Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The first expansion was called Hearts of Stone. You can expect this expansion by May 31, 2016. Watch the Dev Diary of Blood and Wine to get the details of the game.

The video will feature CD Projekt Red’s team for the game namely: the Story Director Marcin Blacha, the Senior Environment Artist Marcin Michalski, the Writer Tomasz Marchewka, the Living World Designer Bartosz Ochman, the Concept Artist Marta Dettlaff, the Environmental Art Director LucJan Wiecek, the Game Director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz and the Game Designer Pawel Kapla. Each one will give you information about the beautiful expansion in the five minute Dev Diary video.

Blood and Wine offers a totally different setting from the previous Witcher games. In this expansion, Geralt will be traveling in the open world of the colorful Toussaint. This location is a picturesque land with beautiful vineyards, lush green fields and panoramic mountains. This is where Est-Est and Erveluce is made, the famous wines of the Witcher World.

Toussaint, an absolutely beautiful world seemingly peaceful from a distance is marred by fighting vineyard owners. These owners send thugs to attack their rival vineyard owners. Bands of thieves can also be seen, waiting to capture a wagon that passes their way. These are small problems that the Knights-errant usually handle, as they are the ones patrolling the streets. The peace in Toussaint is further disrupted as a mysterious beast emerges and is killing people in strange and unnatural ways. This creature is way too much to handle for the Knights-errant, so Geralt was summoned by the Duchess Anna Henrietta to fix the situation.

New Gameplay Elements

Blood and Wine will have new gameplay elements as mentioned by Pavel Kapla. It will now feature mutations, vineyards, new enemies, armor dyes, fist fights and new Gwent cards.

The enemies in the expansion will also be harder, featuring unique monsters. As Thomas Marchewka puts it “this is not just any fight but ‘THE FIGHT’”.
