X019 Inside Xbox had a lot of game announcements and development updates when it opened in London. If you were not able to watch the program we have for you some of the best moments they had to offer.


Everwild

 

Everwild is a game that Rare had been secretly working with. Previous to this announcement trailer, there had been not much said about their new IP. The game trailer offers colorful cell-shaded graphics that look absolutely beautiful. There are however no hints about what the game is about.


Grounded

 

Grounded is a survival game from Obsidian Entertainment. If features children that were shrunk to the size of ants and having huge challenges before them. This new IP introduced in X019 offers exploration, combat, crafting and building.


West of Dead

 

West of Dead is a game that is currently in open beta on Xbox One. It is a twin-stick action shooter that features comic-style graphics as well as a cowboy that looks like Ghost Rider who is voiced by Ron Perlman. The game is set in Purgatory Wyoming.


Sea of Thieves The Seabound Soul Update

 

Sea of Thieves is getting a new story update called The Seabound Soul. This comes with new ammo called the Firebombs which are explosives. There are also new cosmetics and commendations available. We can expect the new update by November 20th.


KartRider Drift

 

Kartrider Drift had been announced for the PC and Xbox One. The game offers a drift-focused speed mode as well as an item mode. There will also be an extensive customization option available. The game is free to play but you will still need an Xbox Live Gold subscription for the Xbox One.


Bleeding Edge

 

The latest trailer of Bleeding Edge has been shared during X019 by Ninja Theory’s Rhani Tucker. We get to see several of the game’s characters as well as when the game will come out which is on March 24. During this event, those who were present were also able to try out a playable demo of the game.


Tell Me Why

 

Alongside Twin Mirror, Dontnod Entertainment was working on another game called Tell Me Why. The game will be published by Xbox Game Studios. The protagonist in the game are twins named Alyson and Tyler Ronan. Tyler is a transgender and was designed carefully with the help of GLAAD. Tell Me Why is set to launch by Summer next year.


Drake Hollow

 

Coming from Molasses Flood is a new game called Drake Hallow. Players would need to protect cute plant-like creatures from monsters in the game. There will also be crop planting, resource collecting and building up a town. It kind of reminds us of Fortnite’s Save the World mode. The game is set to launch in 2020.


Halo Reach (Halo The Master Chief Collection)

Finally, Microsoft was able to reveal that Halo Reach will be coming to both PC and Xbox One via the Halo The Master Chief Collection. This is a prequel that is a great introduction for PC players who have never played a Halo game before. The game is set to launch on December 3rd for PC, Steam, Xbox One, and Xbox Game Pass.


Microsoft Flight Simulator

 

New 4K footage had been shared for the Microsoft Flight Simulator at the event. The game proves to be beautiful, probably also catching the attention of non-fans of the genre.


Age of Empires 4

 

A lot of fans had been waiting for the Age of Empires 4 gameplay. The gameplay video for the real-time strategy game featured the scale of its battles as well as how the sieges are done. We get to see the English and Mongol civilizations during the Medieval period.


Crossfire X

 

The first-ever gameplay trailer had been shown off by Smilegate for their upcoming game Crossfire X. The game looks great! Some of the animations though may need a little improvement. The singleplayer campaign for the game will be done by Remedy Entertainment. The game is set to launch by 2020 and will be exclusive to Xbox One and will be free-to-play.


Minecraft Dungeons

Minecraft Dungeons is set to launch in April 2020 as announced by Mojang. During their presentation, they shared a live gameplay of the game where they were actually able to go to a ‘secret’ dungeon that comes with a rare puzzle that leads to a secret treasure room.


Wasteland 3

 

Brian Fargo the studio head of inXile shared information for their upcoming standalone title called Wasteland 3. He said that players don’t necessarily need to play the first two games in order to enjoy Wasteland 3. The new trailer shown shares the graphical updates available all thanks to the funding of Microsoft. Wasteland 3 is set to launch on May 19, 2020.


Another thing that had been featured in the event is the Xbox Game Pass subscription service. The service now has 50 games in preview and more games are to come.

The Xbox Game Pass will also let players access games included in the xCloud streaming service. The xCloud will be expanding to Windows 10 PCs as well as to more regions by next year.
