Yakuza Creator Set Up New Studio

Toshihiro Nagoshi who came from SEGA set up a new studio called Nagosi Studio which is under NetEase.

Toshihiro Nagoshi is known for creating the Yakuza games. The new studio that he named after himself is based in Ebisu, Tokyo. It has been reported that it opened in November 1, 2021.

Nagoshi sits as the studio’s president and his team includes Daisuke Sato (producer), Taichi Ushioda (director), Kazuki Hosokawa (artist), Naoki Someya (artist), Toshihiro Ando (artist), Koji Tokieda (programmer), Masao Shirosaki (game designer), and Mitsunori Fujimoto (engineer).

The studio’s goal is to create high-end games for consoles with his staff working in an open environment. Nagoshi believes that in order to create high-quality games, there must be a healty working environment. He wants his developers to be able to talk freely no matter the rank of the individual. He also adds that making mistakes is okay as long as the mistakes are turned into assets by honestly correcting them.

As of the moment, Nagoshi Studio did not reveal any future plans.
